Garden View Villa, Four Seasons Resort Sayan, Bali, May 28-31, 2023

We booked a garden view villa at the Four Seasons Resort in Sayan to round out the second half of our “Bali, Twice the Magic” package through the Four Seasons. You can read all about the property in my overview here, and this article will focus on the villa itself.

View from the roof of our villa

This resort is well known for its stunning architecture, and the villas themselves are no exception. The roof of each villa is actually a lotus pond, and there are even sections that grow rice! It is a tranquil and beautiful spot, and doubles as the entrance to your villa. You need to go down about one story of a stone staircase to get into the living space of the villa.

When you open the double doors to your villa, you are greeted by a massive outdoor space, with several areas for lounging, both covered and uncovered, as well as your own private plunge pool. The minibar, fridge, and other service items including a coffee maker are out here as well. It was easily the most comfortable place to hang out in the villa.

After we checked in, we were presented with a very fancy complimentary assortment of chocolate truffles and champagne to welcome us to the property!

Another door leads you to the bedroom. Our villa had two queen beds. There are lovely design details and art all around, and the floors are wood, giving it a very luxe feel.

The bathroom is very large, and also contains a huge closet/changing area. There are double sinks and a massive soaking tub. The floors are luxurious, bright, and clean. These villas also have an outdoor shower, which we used a little less than the one on the beach since it was a bit more humid in the jungle.

The villa is extremely private, and even though it is kind of like a duplex, with another villa just on the other side of the wall we never heard any noise from there. I loved entering the space through a lotus pond, instantly giving you a sense of calm. The sound of the nearby river just added to the nature-centric aura and ambiance of the space. I felt so at ease here, and this villa, especially the outdoor space, is one of my all time favorite resort rooms of all time. Don’t miss my full video walk through here on Instagram!
